Re: Reminder for thorough New Corona Virus Infection Preventive Measures
We are grateful for your continued support and understanding in our city’s education administration.
According to the Ministry of Education survey, school related infected patients have been on the rise since the end of October nationwide. With this in mind there have been almost no cases of the infection spreading inside the school. Up until now there has only one case of this happening.
The situation is the same even within the prefecture as there have been no mass infection occurring within Gunma> Most of the infection cases found amongst students within the prefecture have been due to someone in their inner circle becoming infected.
Since the prefectural pandemic alert level was raised to a level 3, please
continue efforts in preventing the infection from spreading. As previously
mentioned, school and home coordination more than ever is quite important in
these times.
In regards to this, we would really appreciate once again for your cooperation to the items mentioned below.
Details
1 Health management of student and/ or household members
○ Students must continue recording their daily body temperature and health condition in the health observation form
○ When symptoms such as fever or flu appear, stay home and rest until those symptoms have subsided.
○ When a household member has flu symptoms or have been in contact with someone who has been possibly infected, please refrain from coming to school. (Student will not be considered absent)
2 PCR information or Result Report
○ Please report to the school as early as possible if you are to take a PCR test. Additionally, please report your results immediately.
○ Please report to school right away if any of your household members have taken a PCR test, as there may be a risk that your child has been in close contact with them.
○ Please cooperate by staying home until your household member’s test results comes back to prevent further possible spreading of the infection.
3 Behavior during non-working days and upcoming long vacations
○ Observe basic infection prevention measures such as avoiding the 3C’s, washing your hands, wearing face masks, and frequent ventilation amongst other prevention measures even when not in school.
○ Please cooperate by avoiding family gatherings and/or parties to prevent the spreading of infection in the year end and new year.
4 School related precautionary measures in the event of a Corona virus infection.
○ If a student has been infected, the school will confirm the information of the close contact from the health center, then after discussion with the Board of Education, we will decide whether or not it is necessary to close the school.
○ There will be no sharing of personal and /or detailed infection information with anyone who is not on a need- to -know basis.
○ In the present situation no one would want to become infected or be in close contact with someone who has become infected, so please consider the human rights and personal information of those around you.
